For us to get the best Vermont trip and the best fall foliage, we are visiting three different cities. First stop - Burlington. This is where the main airport is.

Harborvale Hotel

Burlington is our first stop — "a lively waterfront city with incredible food, a walkable downtown, and views of Lake Champlain that stretch all the way to the Adirondacks." The Harborvale Hotel was my top choice because it put us right downtown. We're right next to the Church Street Marketplace (tons of cute shops and wandering), can walk along the waterfront, and eat of course. A friend described it as the "bustling city" of Vermont.

Stop Two
A Cozy Cabin
A small, cozy cabin fifteen minutes away from downtown Woodstock and right next to a state park.

Woodstock is the Vermont we see on postcards -- I think we're both going to be high on fall colors. There are farms, bookstores, apple cider, pumpkins, drives, and LEAVES. Woodstock is about two hours south of Burlington, so I wanted us to spend time in Burlington first before making that drive. *The picture is not where we will be staying, but honestly, it looks close.

Stop Three
Timberholm Inn
A cozy B&B in Stowe. Another cozy city with foliage and several places to wander.

We end the trip in Stowe — "Vermont's most beloved mountain town." Timberholm Inn seems right up our alley and they are known for their breakfast. They also have fireplaces and a hot tub. Stowe is back up towards Burlington (like 50 minutes east or west), so this will put us back up north and close to the airport when we leave on the 14th.
